Promotional Product Providers : Spreading A Brand
Getting your company known is a tricky ordeal but crucial if you want to attract business. This can be done through marketing and online, but to make the most of either of these avenues and to get free advertising in a host of other ways you need to be able to have a recognisable brand that people will associate with your company and that you can use to mark out your products and services.
A brand is essentially a stamp to say that something is 'by' your company. This is made up of a logo, a company name, a colour scheme, a motto and various design features that make all of your products stand out and obviously part of a cohesive business agenda. This way every time someone sees your logo or your colour schemes they'll be reminded of your company making it free advertising (and meaning that they don't have to lean in to read a description of what your company do - they instantly associate that image with what they know of you so thereby promoting the company) and whenever they see something with the same branding they'll know its yours - and hopefully that will mean they're likely enjoy it if they had a good experience with your company in the past.
So how do you go about getting your brand out there? First of all you need a company name. The best company names will be catchy, short and where possible descriptive of your business or at least reflect your business ethos. Good names can also be associated with an image (such as in the case of Apple) and/or can be provocative to get people talking about them (such as Virgin at the time).
Next you need a logo - a stylised version of your company name, a pictogram relevant to your company name or what it does, or something else like the simple Nike tick. This should also be simple to reproduce so that people can spread it virally by scrawling it themselves when bored. The colour scheme of the logo should be chosen carefully as this needs to fit with the design of your products and your website to show continuity through your products.
The logo then needs to be placed on everything you use - on your packaging, headed letter paper, on your products, on your buildings and repeatedly on your website. This is also where promotional gifts and products come in - and having lots of these products to give away or to sell, or to include in orders can be another great way to get free advertising. For example, say you give away a promotional mug when someone purchases one of your items - this way every time the person drinks from that mug they'll be reminded of your company, and every time someone sees that mug they'll be reminded of your company and everything your logo represents. For the minimal price it costs to produce these in bulk this is incredibly cost effective branding, marketing and advertising. Other popular items are pens, note pads, mouse mats, rubbers, placemats and wallets. Find a promotional product provider that you can use and get a quote.

Where can I buy rubber mouse caps for Toshiba Tecra 8100?
Toshiba Part Number is P00282750. I'm sure there must be compatibles - but these have quite a small square hole - about 2mm square. Also known as Accupoint. The 4mm square ones that are around are just that little too big. I don't mind paying a little - but begrudge large P&P costs when all it would cost would be the price of a stamp and envelope.
ebay all the way!!
